ASUU Strike: Universities should also find ways of generating income – Jonathan

PRESIDENT Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has said that government alone
cannot fund university education, therefore charging the society and
the Universities come to the rescue of the federal government.

Speaking at the convocation ceremony of University of Ilorin,
President Goodluck Jonathan, who was represented by Barrister Nyesom
Wike, the Supervising Minister for education said that Universities
should find ways of generating income to supplement the federal
government funding while also calling on the society as well as stake
holders to also join hands in funding University education in Nigeria
